SBI PO result and SBI PO Prelims result 2016 have now been published and the details are available at www.sbi.co.in; State bank’s portal. The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the results of its Probationary Officers (PO) preliminary exam 2016 that was held in July.

The State Bank of India has released the results of Probationary Officers (PO) preliminary exam held in the first and second week of July.

The recruitment exam has been taken as an Online test in July and the results were slated to be announced on 18 July. However, the SBI PO Prelims result has been announced one day ahead of the schedule, on July 17, 2016.

The candidates securing marks more than the cut-off marks prescribed by the Bank will be allowed to participate in the Main examination. It is expected that the call letters for the main examination would be available for all eligible candidates from Wednesday as the test would be conducted on July 31, 2016. For past few years, SBI has made its recruitment process very fast and hence the result of Main exam is scheduled to be out on August 16, followed by the interviews on September 1. The final result of SBI PO recruitment would be announced on September 30, 2016. It is to not here that the marks scored by candidates in the prelims test would not be taken into consideration while preparing the final result and it would be based on the performance of the candidates in the Main exam and Interview.

SBI had issued the notification inviting applications for filling 2200 Probationary Officers posts along with 168 Backlog vacancies. The online test (preliminary) was conducted on 2, 3, 9 and 10 July and the results of the same have been announced today.

There are two ways to check the score card of candidates at the official website, either by providing roll number and date of birth or by registration number. You can check the exam results and scores here.
